Cure Talent have partnered with an exciting biotech startup developing next generation, life saving diagnostic technology. With strong backing and ambitious growth plans in place, we are now recruiting a Design and Development Engineer with a microfluidics background on their behalf.

As the new Microfluidic Engineer, you will join the R&D team and play a key role in turning early ideas into workable designs and products. You will bring solid scientific understanding alongside hands on engineering skills in areas such as CNC machining, 3D printing and 3D CAD. This role suits someone who enjoys building, testing and refining ideas in a fast moving environment.

The Role:

• Develop early microfluidic device concepts and progress them into workable prototypes

• Use 3D CAD and practical fabrication methods to build and improve designs

• Set up simple tests to check performance and guide next steps

• Support more efficient ways of working, including basic automation where needed

• Work closely with scientists and engineers to keep biological and technical needs aligned

About You:

• Experience with microfluidics or a closely related field

• Confident using 3D CAD and familiar with hands on prototyping

• Comfortable applying scientific thinking to engineering problems

• Able to manage your own work within an R&D setting

• Practical, clear communicator with a straightforward problem solving approach

If this sounds like you and you are keen to be part of a team building something genuinely impactful, we would be pleased to hear from you.
