Minnesota Medical Technologies raises US$20.6m to launch device for fecal incontinence
HealthTech World reports that Minnesota Medical Technologies has raised US$20.6m in Series A funding to support the commercial launch of its StaySure device in the United States. The device is designed to help people living with faecal incontinence by offering an alternative to traditional absorbent products such as adult nappies and pads.
Developed in collaboration with specialists at the Mayo Clinic, the single use device recently received US FDA clearance following successful clinical trials. The new investment will help the company expand manufacturing, build commercial infrastructure and grow its sales and customer support teams as it prepares to bring the product to market.
