Head of Engineering

Cure Talent are excited to partner with a leading manufacturer in their search for a Head of Engineering. This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for driving strategic improvements, embedding Continuous Improvement methodologies, and developing high-performing teams to deliver excellence across the organisation.

As the new Head of Engineering, you will lead a multidisciplinary engineering function, overseeing large-scale projects, driving operational performance, and shaping engineering strategy aligned with business goals. You will be at the forefront of innovation and accountable for delivering measurable improvements across equipment effectiveness, safety, and culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a large engineering team across multiple functions and locations
• Drive Lean Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives to deliver measurable outcomes
• Oversee large, complex, and high-value projects from planning through to delivery
• Shape and implement engineering strategies that align with wider business objectives
• Partner with cross-functional departments to ensure regulatory compliance

Key Requirements

• Black Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma
• Extensive leadership experience in engineering within manufacturing environments
• Proven success in managing multi-million-pound projects to time and budget
• Strong background in Continuous Improvement, Lean, and operational excellence
• Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and leadership skills with a hands-on approach
